About Anika

Anika believes that God is at the center of our existence, and healing requires aligning our hearts and minds toward God. While Anika specializes in working with the Muslim community and the unique challenges that they face living in the West such as cultural adjustment, systemic oppression, and religious trauma. She also enjoys working with diverse cultural populations and exploring their distinct identity and cultural heritage.

Many of Anika's clients have experienced complex traumas as a result of dysfunctional relationships with their parents, siblings, spouses, in-laws, children, and coworkers. Complex problems require complex solutions and a culturally-competent professional who understands the different aspects of a person and their environment.

In today's generation, it can be challenging to find a balance between traditional and modern cultural values, especially within the current sociopolitical climate. Oftentimes we are searching to feel understood, be emotionally supported, and feel seen and heard without having to worry about explaining everything.

Additionally, Anika has worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years serving Muslim businesses and organizations and incorporates traditional Islamic aesthetics to create modern forms of visual dawah.
